Man may not be the best, after all women live longer, and a male can live longer if he is married to a woman.
It all started with biology. When mankind was a young species giving birth was hard and dangerous. Many men can contribute sperm, but only one woman can carry a child to term, and breast-feed it after birth. Often the woman or the child can be lost in childbirth. So women had to be protected, which often meant keeping them at home, which let the male of the species do whatever he wanted. This lead to the belief that men are superior to women, after all look at all the jobs a male can do, while women are only suited for child raising.
Of course this is an out moded idea, and women are just as good as men, if not better (and yes I am male).

God created man, then woman to be his mate. The man is supposed to rule over all the earth (not in a mean way). But is man the world? That's a new one. Maybe you should read the Bible yourself, and find out!

Mankind, in the generic sense (women definitely included), is the best creation of all. Women are smart in areas where men aren't, and men have some knowledge that women don't. We need each other for survival, companionship, and love. We're equal partners forever.

The devolpment of a man's mind makes men the "best of all creature". Also because men are stronger.

Because we can reproduce to the day we die. so from a "creature" point of view male is clearly the superior sex.
But, its really not fair to compare man and woman. each has features the other does not. strengths and weakness.

There's a slight problem with your question...men aren't the best. Women bear children and then do majority of the raising. What happens after they raise them...they grow to be the presidents, ministers, law enforcement, etc. Women ROCK!!!
