Our old church sold the biulding we had & after paying off the mortgage they had over $800,000. The pastor feels he should get a lump sum from this as a retirement package. As far as we can tell he is looking for around $200,000. While we were still at the chuch & on the board we took good care of this man and his family. We paid him around 35K and we actualy gave him the church parsonage & continude to pay the mortgage & all utillities. Once the parsonage is personle property it gets taxed we paid that too & all property taxes scinc hes owned it. We gave him a car allowance & pay all the insurance gas maintainence repairs. Medical & life insurance are allso provided. On top of all this we set up a retirement package for him. Now he says he was never given a retirement plan. Imajine if you could put all the bills we paid in your retirement. His current board wants to give it to him 200,000 How can we stop this man from taking what was given to do the work of the church
