The last socket that was compatible between the two was Socket 7, it was common in motherboards around 1997.
Intel Pentium MMX's and AMD K6-II and K6-III processors used it.

intel pentium and amd k6, k6 2, and k6 3 could use socket 7 , but intell only up tp 233. the pentium2 and 3 were not socket 7, they were either socket 370 or slot 1

There is a Slot 1 for Intel and a Slot A for AMD. They are the same size, but the chips are not interchangable.
