The Magellanic Clouds are two dwarf galaxies gravitationally bound to the Milky way. The Large Magellanic Cloud is closer at about 160,000 ly, the Small Magellanic Cloud is about 200,000 ly,
So the answer is the SMC.
But wait, there's more! Some say the Sagittarius Dwarf Elliptical Galaxy (Sag DEG) is closest at 70,000 ly but has minlged with the MW to such an extent some even doubt it exists.
So it's the SMC, but it could be the LMC.
