I'm hoping to move to Ottawa in the fall for school, but it all seems so impossible!!!

HOW is someone supposed to live on $300 a month? WTF, my sister told me that I shouldn't be working more than 10 hrs a week if I'm in college... how can I do that? ALL THE PLACES TO RENT ARE $500+ A MONTH!!!! (in some cases even WITH a roommate, although I'd rather live alone.)

There's just no way I can find somewhere to live for $100 a month and have a phone or even EAT! WHAT'S THE POINT OF GOING TO COLELGE IF YOU'RE GONNA LIVE IN POVERTY?! So how do People pull this off, because it's sounding rediculous to me!!!

I'm a full time student and a single mom - it's doable. Check into student financing. You can apply for bursaries and grants (free money) and also apply for interest free loans. You don't have to pay anything on the loan until 6 months after you've completed schooling. Then when you're done, you can even apply for "loan relief" where they will sometimes reduce your loan amount. I'm in Alberta so I don't know the specific web addresses in Ontario but you could try calling the Canada info line to see if they have phone numbers or web sites you could use. I believe the number is 1-800-O-CANADA. Or, contact the college you want to go to and they should have information on funding options for students. hope this helps.

Maybe go to school PT and work PT or look into renting a room in a house with a responsible roommate/owner...It is ridiculous- we spend way too much on tuition in Canada...let alone rent, books, and everything else...
