Good question. Unfortunately you should have narrowed your question to where does "Jesus specifically say that homosexuals etc are going to hell.."

Of course Jesus Christ never said anything of the sort. Therefore a true Christian (one who follows the words of Jesus Christ, not the words of an apostle, preacher, cult leader, pope or angry hateful person) knows that any person who claims such things to be true are at best misinformed, at worst blaphemers against Christ himself.

Regardless of how many Old Testament and New Testament (non Jesus words) the Bible cut and pasters would like to use for their argument, such claims only show just how poorly the Christian faith has become. It has become the refuge of the scoundrel, the hater, the money lenders and modern day pharisees- all the things that Jesus Christ himself hated.

They are forgiven, just as God welcomes each and every person to Heaven. One day, their hate and calls for hate will be a mere wimper as more and more people discover the latest words of God. Until then, ignore such blaphemous lies against the very words of Jesus Christ.

In response to Lord whoevers answer, Onan's sin was not in spilling his seed but in not obeying the Lord and getting her pregnant if I recall correctly :o). Anywho If you are a born again gay person you are not going to hell. Also God does not "Hate" the person God hates the act there of. Therefore if you believe God "made" you gay understand that He loves you the person no matter what. However if you choose to "act" upon those feelings or tendency's that is what displeases God. In Romans I think it talks about men turning away from the natural use of a woman and lusting after each other. Romans one is where it says about that perhaps the whole chapter might be helpful. I'll look for more :o). ......Oh well that's all I can find for now, and it doesn't say gays go to hell but the the only thing that sends Gay's to hell is rejection of the only way to heaven with is Jesus.

Look in Leviticus. Also read the Story of Onan. And debateably read Romans. You will find some of what you are looking for. Man shall not lie with man like he does with a woman. Onan was smote for masterbating, spilling is seed. And Romans is at odds because some feel it is about pedifiles and not homosexuals. This was all discussed on Larry King by a mixed group of clergy including a gay episcopal bishop and a lesbian minister.

About that show, they should have asked "If it is alright to have gay ministers, what is wrong with prostitutes being ministers?" Sins of the flesh are sins of the flesh. If you are going to accept one why not the other? Why quibble over degrees?

The Holy Bible only gives guidelines for who will be in Hell. Specifically, it says that whoever has the Son (Jesus Christ), has life and whoever does not have the Son of God, does not have life.
It is critical to remember that Hell was NOT created for people. It was created for Satan and the angels who revolted along with Satan. The bible says that God is not willing that ANY should perish, but that all would come to repentance. God doesn't SEND anyone to Hell. People choose to go to Hell by rejecting the way that God has provided for them to be saved.
The bible is very clear that homosexuality is a sin but so are drunkenness, gambling, lying, prostitution, pride, and a host of others. None of these sins are any worse or better than the others, they all negatively effect our relationship with God and that is what Christianity is - a relationship with God purchased by Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross.

It doesnt say that. It does say two things, from memory; 1, that a man is not allowed to lay with a man as with a woman. That's in, probably, Leviticus. And 2, it says that; even their women turned to relations with other women. Which I can't help thinking blames men because women do things. [It has to be read in context to get the full meaning.] Anyhows, look up Strong's concordance on the internet and search these things. Depending on what translation, what bible it covers, etc then it may have slightly different words to express these concepts.

Oh yea, 'sin' is 'disobedience to God' and anyone who is disobedient get's put away from Him. That's what hell is, being away from him. That's all it is.

A message to Lord Z: Excellent answer (Sins of the flesh are sins of the flesh. If you are going to accept one why not the other? Why quibble over degrees?)

If I were the asker, I would give you 10 points just for that.
