As long as Kim and his regime rule the North, there is no chance of a reunification.

No. not gonna happen. despite Koreans being the most monocultural homogenous people group there are still too many differences to be worked out for that to happen in the near future.
South Koreans obviously don't want to come under the banner of North Korea as capitalism and their relationship with America has enabled them to become wealthy and they wouldn't give that up.
North Koreans don't think too highly of South Koreans because they saw themselves as doing all the work of making a nationalistic push back when Korea was occupied by Japan.
Furthermore the Korean war hasn't actually ended it's just a cease fire at the moment (albeit a very long lasting one) so they couldn't reunite until that was settled.
There are other reasons as well. I'd like to see a reuniting but it'll take a long time to mend together what has been forcably ripped apart.

Then the south would have to support the north, they have different government types, they are at a stalemate in their civil war, and too many people don't like the ruler of North Korea

North Korea is a communist state controlled by China

South Korea is a Republic

For one thing.. North is a communist country and South is a democratic country.. It is like asking why couldn't Old Soviet and USA combine to form a really powerful country.. It doesn't mix.

Political reasons, and the Cold War. There is movements in both Koreas towards unification. But that may be a while before anything happens.
