Do convenience stores buy from a distributor of many products or do they buy from coke, mars company, miller, etc. individually?

A 'business prudent' convenience store would procure its supplies from where it gets the best deals, may it be manufacturers, distributors or stockists. And it may be a single source for one or many items or many sources even for one item (in case of short supplies etc.).

many have deals with distributors, meaning the potatochips get dropped off by aguy who deals potato chips - juices and water come from different distributors.

Large stores like supermarkets and costco have deals direct with manufacturers. The manufacturer ships direct to the store warehouse from their own warehouse. The stores receive inventory on trucks stocked at their own warehouse.

They actually buy from the companies most of the time. You would be amazed at what parent companies actually produce. Often times products from different companies will be shipped together from a main distribution center.

in canada
coke, pepsi, frito-lay(doritos,lays etd) old dutch, nestlè, westons bread, etc.. all brought their own prods
all the little odds and ends (cigs, grocerys, candy...) come from a distribution center
