Glossy is shiny; matte is not.

A glossy finish will have just that a very glossy and/or shiny look. Whereas a matte finish will look very dull and void of any shininess. Generally, it depends on what type of photos you are doing. Black and white look great with a matte finish and high quality color photos look awesome with a glossy appeal. It's up to you and you preference.

Glossy is a shiny finish. Matte is not shiny, and has small diagonal lines that cut reflection out. You also get less red eye with Matte.

Glossy finish has a bit of a sheen, shiny look to it, whereas matte finish is flat, plain, dull.

glossy has a shine to it sometimes the colors are more clear but the photos will hold finger prints. matte is nicer that s what i usually get

matte is no shine. glossy is shiny, the glossy ones often look sharper or more in focus than the matte.

im pretty sure that the glossy finish is shinier and the matte is a duller finish

glossy has a shine to it that is in the coating on the paper, matte has no gloss and shows less glare, dpends on the print as to which one you want to use
