Ha. I've been a Green Day listener since Ker-Plunk. A friend's daughter likes them and was dismayed to learn (from me) that the members of Green Day are older than her mom.
I think American Idiot is kind of a sell-out. Fun musically, but trite lyrically. Gee, we have a consumer media-driven society, like you're the first three guys in America to figure that out. I liked it better when they were singing about being masturbating slackers.

They're awesome and I can't get enough! They have energy that is out of this world when they are on stage. They feed off the energy of the audience, so if you ever have a chance to see this great live preforming band, give it all you have, and they will surely deliver on their end.

I used to really be into them, but they really look like crazies - I'd think they were high when they made their songs and videos.
