Most e-mails are not secure.. It is a Hippa violation to send personal confidential report to non hippa compliant medium like email.. If patient request it, then she would have to sign a Hippa stating it is ok to send the results via email..

Sending effects via unsecured digital mail violates State and Federal Hippa ( wellness coverage Portability and duty Act) guidelines. in simple terms an same a doctor does no longer depart ends up on your position answering maching. that is their duty to inform you in human being or instantly through telephone so as that your identity will be shown.

Depends on how close she is with her doctor. But honestly that is sooo unprofessional. But yeah it is possible. I mean if I was a doctor and I would want my patient to know right away without bothering her/him to go to the hospital, i can send it anyway possible. Plus if the patient wants the results, in all fairness, the results are his/hers and its up to her to do whatever he/she wants to do with it.
