Ohio State 37
Texas 13
Speed causes mistakes, Texas will start a freshman QB (McCoy or Snead) that have not seen the kind of speed the OSU has in store for them. No freshman is built for this kind of big time game under the lights (unless your Mike Vick back in 1998). Buckeyes will win big...

Ohio state in a 24-10 ball game. Ohio State Def. Tex has lost too much Offense and Ohio State will have a super O this year. But I am a BIG BLUE fan the only real team in the Big TEN

Ohio St 24
Texas 10
Both are playing their second game of the season. Texas is the home team and they are under the lights (night game).
All of these factors to the more experienced team and that is the Buckeyes.
Both teams will bring very athletic defenses even though Ohio St was hard hit at linebacker due to the NFL. Coach Tressel will reload and get several one year varsity players to more than adequately play the middle in his defensive scheme. Griffin for the Longhorns is a potential interception for touchdown threat.
The difference is two 5th yr QBs for the Buckeyes in Smith and Zwick and of course Ginn Jr for a scoring threat anytime he gets his hands on the ball. Texas is very inexperienced at QB and Charles at RB will be keyed on by the LBs of Ohio St since he is the only offensive threat due to the basic offensive schemes that the Longhorns will have to employ for the young QB.
It will be field position for the punters and a few field goals made that will be the bulk of this defensive battle. But in the end Ohio State's offense will get it in the endzone and Texas will have a learning experience on offense.
The loss of Young and his offensive line for Texas far outweighs the loss of Carpenter, Hawk and Mangold for the Buckeyes.

42-38 OSU...I think OSU will win because Texas lost their star QB and Ohio is still a good team, even without AJ Hawk and their center (forgot his name). But Texas last year was pretty much built around Vince Young and he is gone, they will still be a good team, and this will be a good game. But, I think with Huff, Young and others gone, OSU will get the upper hand at the end of the day.

13- 10 Texas! OSU lost the back 7 on d but scheme alnoe will keep it close. Texas will grind the ball out using the running game for most of the game. The job of either sneed or mcCoy is "Don't lose the game." GO HORNS!!!

the inexperience of texas qb's , whoever starts is the only thing that will matter, both are tough teams, both are very talented,
as the old saying goes "SPEED KILLS" and Ohio State will have more of it...... but in the end it will still be close, however
OSU will prevail, OSU 20 Texas 10
