No matter what website you use to build your own, you most likely have to be familiar with HTML. I use FreeWebs because it's really easy to get used to. But then again, I took a class about HTML so it's easier for me. You might get confused with some things if you don't understand HTML. I think geocities lets your create your own website by choosing what kind of features you want, but unless you pay for your account, you only get to use certain things.
