I am conservative...Anytime I hear or have a conversation with a Liberal I end up getting cussed at or chewed out, and called all sorts of names, and the debate gets no where and I end up learning nothing (my goal in talking to libs is to learn something about their point of view)

I end up pissing them off and instead of quietly disagreeing and explaining their point of view to me they get mad...Why??

by the way during these conversations I have an open mind and never tell anyone they are flat out wrong.

Because they usually believe what they do for personal reasons and have a different moral or value stance than you. They don't just believe what is spoon fed to them.

it's not so much people opposed to people as it is politics vs. politics. thruthfully, there is a way to end this bullshit entirely...abolish all political parties and set term limits. let a person who is willing to take no salary hold office in the goverment...and most of all, take religon out of the goverment.

it's a game meant to make u ask why "the other side disagrees and defend your own political views" that have been "indoctrinated into you" from the very people that you elect. we don't have the choice in this country to put a real honest concerned person in the white house. what we do have is a "filtered canidate from both partys" that will keep the status quo humming. think about this: if we all agreed there would be no need for this "form of goverment" and certainly no reason for Profit Politicians that us americans have been deluded into perceiving as "leaders". neither side has produced a REAL LEADER in decades and i mean decades...

we need to do away with politicians for hire, lobbyist's, and professional politicians. then we MAY have a chance to communicate with one another as equals

if there's a war, it's internal and we're in and it's with the Party Politics and Politicians. problem is we're just the foot soldiers gunning for the other side...everyone of us!

now trun around and shoot your neighbor if he is not the same as you...

Both sides are condesending when discussing political views. It is rare that both sides can get together without emotions flaring up.

I find most liberals use logical in their discussions. Conservatives typically just shout some quote from the bible and to them that is the final word.

I will calmly say, President Bush is a good president and it will be seen to be the case in years to come. I probably won't be around to see it, but you will!! See I am a conservative, and like to live by the good law and not have everything twisted to suit my feelings like a lot, not all, liberals. They are generally people that have problems, this is MY experience.

Because they don't have any answers. And, like school kids, when they don't have the answers, they resort to other tactics to win/end the argument.

I was discussing religion with someone (I know, you're not supposed to, oh well) and I was asking her questions about Catholicism and when she didn't know what to say she said "Stop yelling at me." ??? I wasn't yelling! This is the same logic the liberals use. With this logic, how can you hope to have a semi-decent conversation with them?

I've seen and heard many so called conservatives get mad too. It happens on both sides. This country is so freaking divided that I don't understand how we can do into another country and try to establish peace. It should start at home.

that happens to me all the time with conservatives?

I'm not trying to avoid your question... just saying...

I think it's mainly because many people in both parties don't have any idea what they are talking about...

TO EVERYONE THAT SAYS CONSERVATIVES DEAL IN FACT AND LOGIC, I REFER YOU TO THIS QUESTION, THAT WAS ASKED BY A CONSERVATIVE:
Why are almost all people with STD's in America liberal? Coincidence?

No facts stated or cited... except that he doesn't have an STD... yes, that's the extent of his logic...

Because, as Ann Coulter points out in her book Godless, liberalism is a religious belief, with all the hallmarks of a cult. You can't reason with such people; they must be deprogrammed.

Because they "think" that their way is the only way! You've heard of my way or the highway!!!??? they don't want to listen to your side...so what i would do is just listen and say OK , OK , i see, and then when they are done with their lecture...just weasel out of their view!!!

Because those f*king liberals are knee-jerk reactors. They go totally by instinct, and not logic, like they should!
