animals can pick up on your emotions...so be calm when you get him, in your room, by yourself, no music...how about not trying toget him for another day, just let him see you and put your hand in his cage so he can smelll you and get to knkow you and later you pick him up..

Give him some time to get used to you and your home...pet him a little when you put food in the cage, and talk to him softly...eventually he will get to know the smell and sound of you. Maybe get him some treats and give him one or two when you do start to hold him and such? My hamsters love these milk and honey drops I found for them. Be careful when he is out-they can hide in the darndest places and they are VERY fast on those little feet!

Tell that bithc to chill...say "Bithc, Chill!" Give him a xanax or vicodin with a saucer of Jack Daniels, he'll chill in no time. No, really....leave him alone for about 7 days. Then slowly give him Hamster treats while leaving your hand in his habitat while he eats it, but don't try to touch him or pick him up. He has to get comfortable. And don't make any sudden movements! He'll be eating out of your hand in no time!
