Well I've never heard it as a song. I read it out of a fan ficiton someone wrote, and I loved it.
You never cry, or show your sadness; you always hold it in.
Until there is a silent night encasing you within.
Then teardrops fall like rain;
Silent and mournful, they soak into your pillow.
Sometimes the wekest hands are the best shoulders to cry on.
Another day, another hate; they scorned you again, didn't they?
I know I'm small,
But sometimes the weakest hands are the best shoulders to cry on.
I've never seen your tears; I know I have it good.
Your story, I won't say I can identify;
'Cause I know I can't,
But still, I'll be a shoulder to cry on.
It's a lament written by Iya-chan off of fanfictin.net

Even though it's already been said a few times, "Dance With My Father" makes me cry and the song "Christmas Shoes" makes me cry too.
Ever notice how some songs can make you cry depending on your situation in life? Right after my baby sister died (2 months old) I heard the song from Tarzan (You'll Be In My Heart) and boy was that heart-wrenching at the time!

I agree with the song for Farenheit 911 and the song from Brokeback Mountain, both are very sad movies.

Wildfire
Michael Martin Murphey
She came down yellow mountain
on a dark flat land she rides
On a pony she named Wildfire
With a whirlwind by her side
On a cold Nebraska night
Oh they say she died one winter
When there came a killing frost
And the pony she named Wildfire
Busted down his stall
In a blizzard he was lost
She ran calling Wildfire (3 times)
By the dark of the moon I planted
But there came an early snow
There's been a hoot owl howling by my window now
For six nights in a row
She's coming for me I know
And on Wildfire we're both gonna go
We'll be riding Wildfire (3 times)
On Wildfire we're going to ride
Gonna leave sodbusting behind
Get these hard times right on out of my mind
Riding Wildfire
