Although one might "miss" another person that abruptly leaves our usually daily routine (such as a person seen everyday at a bus stop or a newsstand), there usually has to be at least a minimum amount of "emotions" for the "missing person."
Of course, the stronger the "emotions" the more the person will be "missed." If you "miss" someone and do not think that you have any "emotions" for them, than you probably are becoming aware of hidden "emotions" that you have repressed in your unconscious mind.

I think so, when you get used to seeing someone everyday I think your mind begins to expect there presence so you do miss them but not as powerfully as you'd miss a loved one.
Also I think if you miss someone it may reflect deeper feelings for them or a desire to get to know them

I don't think so. You gotta have some feelings towards them to miss them.
