my favorite is Tony Montana (SCARFACE), because he did things i will never do and acted like i never will! i think that's why we like "the villian", too.
we know we'll never be like they are or say the things they do, so for 2 hours during a movie, we can live vicariously through the "bad guy".

Hmm, sometimes the villian is cute. Could that be a reason? Like Darth Vador...before he was burnt to a crisp and in that black suit. Yeah...Anakin was the bad guy. A cute one. Lol!!!

i do no longer believe that is immoral in any respect. what's so proper about villains isn't their "evilness", even if the actual undeniable actuality that maximum cases they're truly exciting characters and infrequently even hilarious! Heroes, being so, properly, "good", are not any further that exciting and really tend to be plenty uninteresting, until eventually there is more effective to them contained in the movie, for instance like the more effective complicated batman there is in "The darkish Knight".

I guess we just love them b/c we know the good guy will always win out in the end--unlike in real life.
