I voted for Bush and probably catch about three minutes of Fox News a month. Why does it drive liberals nuts that there is one news channel with a supposedly right-wing bent? There are plenty of other news channel that are center or left. I think it makes y'all look bad when I have to read "TYPICAL RIGHT-WING, FOX NEWS TOBY KEITH IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!"
Do you feel threatened by it? Do you feel it contributed to the democratic losses in 2000 and 2004?

See I used to watch it looking for some serious crazy right -wing sentiment (just for entertainment's sake) and I didn't see it. The opinion/debate shows were heavily right-leaning, but the news segments seemed very even-handed.

NOTYOU311- I would watch FOX more if it was actually like you said. That would be pretty funny. My point is that the existence of one single right wing news channel drives liberal nuts when their is a liberal bent to almost every other news channel.

DINODINO- libs don't help themselves when they spout idiotic internet conspiracy theories. So FOX pegging Bush as the leader in the polls is what led to the election controversy? Sheesh.

As for their news coverage (I hate debate shows on every network , just a bunch of screeching) FOX has had the most accurate coverage of Iraq. I was there and the coverage of the war I see on other networks seems to be of a totally different war.

BTW, right now Foxnews.com has coverage of the WMD discovery and the Marine Murder as their top stories. Cnn.com has the Marine murder as top story and the WMD discovery is not even mentioned. That kind of says it all, doesn't it?

Fox is infotainment....
just don't call it news.
By the way, the reason no other news will report on the discovery of WMD's like fox, is because fox is basically distorting and lying. simply.

This is a little difficult...Perhaps the Bill O'Reilly show drives Liberals crazy the most. One thing about Fox News that is irriating in my opinion is how opinionated many of the Fox News anchors are. I watch Fox News along with CNN and BBC. Fox does tend to sensationalize and at times accuse guests or liberals of saying this or that while they are trying to hold discussions. And for some reason it seems on the O'Reilly Show that a second or third point of view different from O'Reilly's leads to a screaming match when the guests and host are suppose to be debating in a mature manner.
If you watch PBS' News Hour, BBC, or Japanese News you'll notice that those news programs do not waste time debating or adding commentary or opinions to anything. Especially if it is an opinion that would lead to a grippling debate.

Liberals can't stand Fox News for a simple reason. The truth is not twisted on Fox. They give both sides of the news. Those of the liberal thinking only want the news with their view.or example today's news carried the terribly tragic news of the soldiers that met a horrendous death at the hands of the terrorists. Many of the liberal thinking news papers in this country carried the story about some soldiers being charged with "murder" while on patrol.
You see the second news is detrimental to support of our American soldiers. The first news mentioned should be met with a call of revenge by every American
The other point I would like to mention is the term liberal. The word is the definition of a person that is free. I prefer to speak of those called liberal to be referred to as the misinformed.

i see your point with the "drive the liberals nuts" thing, however, for those of us that have the ability to accumulate information from multiple sources (internet, news from around the world, magazines), and then assimilate that information into a somewhat true-reality of events, current situations, and political momentums, i think the issue is far more unsettling. fox news seems to have a knack for publicising the political retorhic of the republican party and then on top of it, defends some of the most outlandish utterences from the white house. in all, i'd say that fox is probably the least "unbasied news" agency in the USA. but then so is "The 700 Club" --- if u can call that news.
Point of interest: O'Riely told a caller as he was ready to "deactivate" his phone call, and who really had not had a chance to actually state his purpose for calling in, that FOX SECURITY would be knocking on his door. Sounds alot like GW there!

For example -- Bill O'Reilly states on his show that American troops massacred German prisoners during the battle of the bulge. This is heard by hundreds of people and recorded. O'Reilly then changes his story and FOX news alters the transcript changing the word Malmedy to Normandy.
No retraction fom FOX or apology from O'Reilly. He gets away with it cause he's a "commentator".
And yes as Fox news declared Florida for Bush in 2000 when all other exit polls had it for Gore (and exit polls had never been wrong in the past) they started the whole ball rolling for the appointment of Bush as President by the supreme court.

Fox News isn't really very conservative but it drives liberals nuts because conservatives have any voice at all. As Ann Coulter pointed out, they want it be like the old days when there were only three channels and only liberals had a say. They want us to shut up and let them have the only voice. But those days are gone, Fox News is only a small oasis in the huge sea of liberal TV but we also have a respectable radio presence. Look at what happens when they try radio--Air America--lol lol lol lol lol lol what a joke. Now that really drives them nuts--and it's a short drive anyhow.

So FOX is pro-Bush, eh? That explains FOX releasing Bush's DWI arrest record days before the 2000 election.
So the theory is horsesh*t.
The reason FOX is so popular is because they don't SLAM our President and our military ever six minutes. Most Americans don't like hearing how our troops are acting like terrorists, or how Bush is rounding up Muslims for his top secret gulags deep in the Alabama woods.

I'm certainly not threatened by it....but news coverage in it's pure state, is to present the news, information, as is! just the facts...Fox news is the best example of yellow journalism since the Spanish-american war-1898(remember the MAINE?)

Well people trust Fox News more than the other news networks because they have not attacked our president. And now all their work has paid off immensely. Since the other news networks have been embarrassed in the biggest way ever.

Here is how Fox News debates liberals:
Liberal Lie: "We rushed to war on false pretenses."
Educated Response: "You Hate America!"
Liberal Lie: "The Constitution isn't a political tool."
Educated Response: "Read the Bible!"
Liberal Lie: "The Clear Skies Initiative raises pollution."
Educated Response: "America Hater!"
Liberal Lie: "There is no link between Iraq and al-Qaeda."
Educated Response: "Traitor!"
Liberal Lie: "The tax cuts clearly benefit the wealthy."
Educated Response: "Stop hating America!"
Liberal Lie: "They turned a surplus into a deficit."
Educated Response: "It's Clinton's fault!"
Liberal Lie: "The 2000 Election was a sham."
Educated Response: "You hate, Hate, HATE America!"
Liberal Lie: "I don't hate America."
Educated Response: "Flip-Flopper!"
Remember, it's not about being right.... it's about winning!
