Do you think chrome rims are ghetto???

I wanna know how many people think chrome rims are ghetto and why and if you dont think they're ghetto tell me, do you have chrome rims and if you dont would you buy them if you could afford to. AKA you had unlimited money to spend on any rim you wanted but you had to spend it on rims. (Fussing with my Dad about it)

Your rims don't define who you are. Who you are is dictated by the way you carry yourself. If you choose to have big, clean, chrome rims that your girlfriend can use to put on make-up, go ahead. Just don't carry yourself like an *** and think your better than everybody else, and don't let it get you in trouble by hanging out with lil' badasses just cuz they got rims. Take your school work seriously and try your best to make straight A's...your parents will back off a bit. If I had unlimited money to spend on rims, I wouldn't buy chrome rims cuz I have a nissan sentra, I would get Euro Tuner spokes. But if I had a big body or an SUV/Truck, I'd have a lawsuit pendin' for wreckless blade spinnin', ya dig? Peace.

Okay, just like with people how it's not what they are but the way they act, with rims it's not the chrome rims that would make it ghetto but the way in which you used them.

Chrome really has nothing to do with ghetto. BUT, it can easily look ghetto if you get a black car with really tinted windows an lo-pro tires. Or, it can look sleek if you just get a nice car and don't try to make it look like you're the ******** baller in the world, lol. Also, it's even more ghetto if you have a crappy car and put chrome on it. That's just ridiculous.

I would say, less is more when it comes to chrome rims if you're trying to decide between all out and toned down. Unless they fit the size of your vehicle, don't get huge ones just because they're chrome and you think the more bling it has the better it'll be.

I think chrome rims look good. I don't understand why anyone would put it on an old BMW. I have a newer Mercedes, but no chrome rims, I think mine are alloy or something. Factory rims. Anyway, I wouldn't mind putting rims on it. I just don't think it would be best to spend $3000 on rims for my car right now. I don't have that much money to throw around, but it would be nice. I don't understand why some people think you HAVE to keep factory rims on a luxury car. It isn't as shiny. Most people think chrome door-handles look good. What's wrong with chrome rims? My only issue is that a lot of people from the hood could do better, more important stuff with the money it costs to get nice rims.

Unless your car is worth an amount that justifies the $ on the rims... don't do it... most of the times these guys are paying like a grand for rims and put them on a $20,000 or LESS car... and then it just looks rediculous. I have a chrystler sybring.... that was 18 grand when we bought it... rims on that thing would look soooo stupid . Now if you have saay a Bentley or some other car that's worth more than your life... well then it may actually fit the car.

I see it the same thing with stereos... if your car is rusting out and you put a system in it... it sounds just AWEFUL if your system is more than you could sell your car for... you should have bought a home system instead. It doesn't make them look cooler... it makes them look rather stupid!

Your dad... is probably just being dad thinking there are better things to spend your money on and he's right... it would take a guy about 5 seconds to swip those suckers and well buhbye $$$.

The word ghetto literally means: an isolated group. Chrome rims are ghetto because the majority of people do not own them. If you get big Chrome rims, as in the wheel size does not meet the specification requirements for efficiency on your car, then it can show that you don t care about money, car efficiency, or the stereotype that the vast majority of the population will see you in when you ride around in this vehicle.

Anything that someone buys which doesn't create usefulness is 'ghetto'. Another term might be 'trailer trash'. Cars come with wheels on them, many with nice aluminum wheels that match the design of the car. I grew up wanting nice rims and big tires. It's just a rat race to get you to compete with other people who should be saving their money for a house, too. There's always someone with shinier rims, or a bigger gun to steal them. It isn't just ghetto, it's a waste of resources that we will need in the future.
Chrome rims are the equivalent of Florida's Pink Flamingoes and those plastic swimming pools that people put in their yard next to their house trailer. It's just shiny,noisy crap that you don't need, but you think if you have it, you will somehow show how you are 'somebody'. Unfortunately, the only 'somebody' that is impressed is another person whose only claim to fame is a chrome rim and a house trailer with a plastic swimming pool that ends up on TV after a hurricane.

No, chrome rims are not ghetto. Chrome is always more expensive than other finishes on rims. Although, if you have some ridiculously flashy chrome rims, your car will look like all show and no go. Most performance oriented cars get a lightweight alloy rim, but if you want to go all out flashy, chrome is the way to go.

I don't think they're ghetto but they're not my style. If I had unlimited money though, I'd buy me a house on a beach in the tropics, or maybe even my own island and a boat with chrome inlay. Screw spending it on rims.

I love chrome rims if they spin that much better I would buy them if i had the right car and could afford them and tell your dad this is coming from a parent lol but who is paying for them you or your dad ....if you are bye what you want if yoru dad well you got to listen to what he has to say
