look hunny, ive been through thast too, ive been on various antidepressents but eventually you will get throug it as long as you dont give up on yourself, in my opinion though if you need the ful dossage if that medication either a) you havent given it its full trial run (some antidepressents, most for that matter, take upto sixweeks to take full effect) or b0 its not the right one for you, maybe something else might work betterm the only thing you have to realize is sometimes antidepressents can make you more depressed if theres too high of a dossage or its not for you, or some even as a side effect in teens cause suicidle urges. over all you need to talk to our doctor and know that it will get better, ive been on my medications for 8 years now and have only raised it once. ok, well twice but thre second time they prooved it was too high a dose as i was getting worse. but you just have to know your body, and not cut any more, although i am proud of you to stop cutting, its hard to do, i used to be a mild cutter (causeing scratches and having them leave deep sars by picking the scab) my best frined used to cut all the time, and another friend cause such deepo gashes on a weekly basis that the needed stitches but she refused it so now shes covered in deep scars, although im happy to say weve all stopped cutting, and eventhough its hard just know in your heart you can do it

It can take a long time for meds to work properly and to get on the right meds to treat your depression. If you have been on this med for longer than 3 mos. and still feel suicidal I would strongly suggest you speak to your doctor about trying a different anti-depressant.
There are many things that can be done to help you. You are not hopeless. I have been dealing with bipolar disorder for almost 10 years as well as cutting problems as a teen. It can take years to get stable but when you get stable you can move forward with your life. Don't give up. I'm sure there is a therapy and medicine regimine out there for you. Talk to your doctor.
and if you are suicidal call someone right away.
1800-suicide is a suicide prevention line that is free with people to get you through the night until you can get back to see your doc.
Good luck.

Your doctor may need to change your medication. What works for one may not work for another. My stepdaughter suffered from depression, anxiety attacks and cutting and I can tell you it does get better. Writing your thoughts out in a journal can be very helpful. Watching comedies, listening to peaceful music that lifts the soul, gardening (nothing quite like watching a seed turn into a beautiful plant), exercising (especially Thai Chi and yoga or something challenging like supervised wall climbing) and becoming involved with a hobby, especially one that is creative could be very beneficial to you. Writing your sorrows and hurts down on paper, digging a hole and burying it or even just tearing the paper into little tiny pieces can also be therapeutic. Blowing up a bag of balloons and popping them can also be great for releasing anger. Support groups can also be very helpful as well as supportive friends and family. If you cannot open up to your present therapist, you may want to request a different one. I do hope that you can continue not to cut yourself. You should be very proud of the progress you have made, I’m proud of you and wish you all the best life has to offer. Life can be very hard, and throughout it you will hit many bumps along the way. I have learned that something good comes out of almost every bad situation and we grow and learn from our experiences. You have to reach for the stars to capture the moon and I know that there is a very special star just waiting for the very special you! I know it’s hard but keep on trying to find that elusive star and things will get better. Take good care of yourself dear.

Awww sweetie...don't give up hope.....you need to find a faith based support group......does not have to be Christian but I have found that happiness comes from within. Make a list of your positives....negatives only bring you down further. And as for the Zoloft...it could be adding to your depression. Seriously, find a good pyshotherapist and someone who will JUST listen...fell free to IM me if you are having a bad moment. I find that laughter can make the world seem such a brighter place.

Please don't resort to hurting yourself. As some of the others have mentioned find a support group or talk to a family member or friend. If possible find a church to attend. Talk to your doctor about the thoughts of ending it all and hopelessness. This could be side effects of the medication. The anti-depressant medication is sometimes worse that the depression.
May God be with you, I will be praying for you.

Honey I dont know if its better to have your medication raised. It might not be helping in the first place. See a psychiatrist to try & deal with your problems so you can get over them. Do you take any drugs? Your depression could be drug-induced. Surround yourself with happy .. positive ppl who love you! Get a puppy.. animals are proven to make ppl happier. Take a holiday with a good friend, get out & socialise! Meet a really great guy who makes you happy! Get a little happy book & write down everything positive & good & whenever you feel down pick it up & read it.

Deep Depression is what is Called , antidepresants are so to do
certain amount of Job , but not all . It is the worst cause for it the
emptyness and the lonely feeeling of not haveing anyone around ,
which is not TRUE , cause God who is in Heavens is watching
over all of Us . As for today , try not to think about it , or keep a
good Chater Friend of yours connected , that can help to mitigate
the wall where you are into , this way you will be out of trouble ,
and hopefully in your way To Recovery. Thanks .

You have got to get a grip!! You have got to make yourself do something to help take your mind off your troubles....First off you have to do this cuz nobody can do it for you..Get involved in something ...The more you sit around the more depressed you get..NOTHING is worth cutting yourself or ending it all..That is just a cheaters way out..You have to face your problems head on.....And remember nothing is impossible
You have to learn to take criticism..you can't baby yourself like that ..Don't say nothing bad about me though...That is wrong..Go to therapy get some help but remember YOU CSN DO IT
