why do people view the poor as weak and unworthy?

We have created a value out of possession. There is nothing great about being rich... Real Richie's are always made through some swindle breaching the system getting things out of turn. Individuals who really work hard for a better life are few and do not normally make it among the really rich.

Richies is largely to do with inheritance, possessing social capital, use of cunning and sometimes being plain lucky.

While poverty is to do with circusmtances. While there may be some druggies who may refuse to work for their living, greatest number of the poor in the world are engaged in an exploitative relationship... a form of subsistence slavery out of which there is no escape. Its grossly unfair to term half of the world population which is surviving under impossible conditions as lazy and less dignified than those who make it easy because of inherited privilege and then claim to be smart.

I used to be poor but I worked my a.ss off to not be, I know some poor people are poor because they are lazy and don't try they live off welfare, those are the poor people I consider weak and unworthy, not those who work but might just have jobs that don't pay well because of maybe lack of proper education or something reasonable.

Politically they ARE weak! Only the rich corporate greed-mongers (pharaceutical companies, HMO's, OIL companies and WAL-MART etc.) have power...money talks. The poor are subjected to less educational funds, less jobs etc. UNWORTHY? NO WAY...the only ones that are UNWORTHY are teh rich slobs who control the white house.

because those people are shallow and cannot fathom any person who does not have money to be of any value, fortunately the poor usually feel the same way about those people.
I guess the poor should be thankful that they have someone to save them from sin, because by these greedy self rightious fools worrying about nothing more than the bottom line are sucking up all the greed for themselves..............let them have it!

in the western world, financial stabilty is seen as strengh, streangh is percived as power, power is recognized as dominance, dominince preys on the poor
