at first I wasn't going to answer this becuz I felt there was enough people saying the white sox that I was pleased but hey,
you can never have too many.
besides you'll always have those crazy loyal yankee fans saying there teams the best no matter what and i can accept that. But those detroit ppl need to quit it. its only an illusion folks.
but seriously, its the white sox.

On paper the Yankees are clearly the best. Posisition by posistion nobody can match them. The problem is that th teamwork isn't there like with the Yankees dynasty of only a few years ago. Nor is the hunger there. I think losing Cone and O'Niel was a huge loss to the team spirit. The lack of youngsters coming up another big problem. The Yankees of 06 are too old. Though they have enough pitching to be a good bet to make the WS. Redsox also have a very talented team.
Actual application of talent the Whitesox are the best team so far this year but the Cards are real close. Tigers and Mets are overachieving and it won't last. Neither has the pitching to back up thier records and are destined to some disasterous series in the near future.

20-6 and 13-5 wins the past two nights over the second best team in the NL should convince people that 2005 was no fluke and that the White Sox are still the best team in baseball.

The Yankees are by far the best team in baseball. They have 6 star players on the DL most noteably Matsui, Sheffield, Dotel, and Pavano. Imagine if their whole team was healthy. With all of those players down they are only 2 games out of first place.

Going by records, its the Tigers. Personally, I also thinks its the tigers. They have a good starting line-up, a good bench, and a good bullpen. Tigers fan for life her. Through the good and the bad.

The Detroit Tigers. They currently hold the best record, have solid veterans, promising youngsters, this could be their year.
