It depends on the size of the crack. sometimes smaller cracks can be sealed, but in all honesty it is usually temporary, Mainly because when something is constantly heating up, and then cooling down, it either expands or contracts. Every time this happens, there is movement. IN PARTICULAR aluminum, and iron are two completely different metals, and they expand and contract at different temperatures, and different rates. This can put a lot of stress on the gaskey between the two.and if any cracks develop in the metal this crack will expand slowly sometimes, or more quickly in others. It is best if you look at a repair as temporary, If there is water in the oil, this can lunch bearings so fast it is unreal. I would stop driving, and get the problem fixed. So plan of getting the head gasket fixed, (lets hope that is all it is) if your car got low on water, usually the heads are out of water first, and the light is in a temperature sensor in the block. good luck

a girl that is interested in your car is only going to leave as soon as a guy with a better car shows up.
and no, i think camaros are turds. having a mechanic husband, i know they suck to work on,
and i think that a guy who buys cars like that is trying to compensate for something. it's like screaming, " i have a small penis" or " i'm a bad lover"
very sad
