what should i do? help or not help?

i am vietnamese and i have really really beautiful long STRAIGHT black hair,and for my graduation i want 1or 2 thing!! should i cut my hair 10 inches OFF and give it to the cancer people so they can make wigs OR should I go back to my country and give them $1000 for a GRADUATION GIFT????? what should i do HELP!!!!

i can do both but i dont know i been donating money to differents charities since i was 12 and im 17 now. i guess doing both wont hurt anyone right?

I think that cutting your long, beautiful, STRONG (I am imagining) hair off for the cancer wig, would be more beneficial than the $1000 to your country. However, if you were sponsoring one family in Vietnam, that would be a different story b/c I would imagine that $1000 would go a long way for a family in that country! :D

Also, there may be a specific organization (I would chose a smaller one) in your home country that would benefit a great deal from that amount of money.. you can research that and see. Maybe if you have family there, they can check into that for you.


Either way you are helping someone... so don't look at it as help or not help.. cause both ways you are helping..

I don't quite understand what you are asking but I do have several family members who are battleing cancer. The fight within you is your choice. I have always thought of hair as a beautiful part of a person, especially well kept hair. That is a wonderful gift that not everyone can give. Look at it this way, you will be helping to change someone's life by giving them one componet to feeling normal and your beautiful hair will grow back in no time. You will have an amazing feeling of fulfillment just knowing you helped someone.

Cutting off your hair can be a life changing. And I've given my hair to the Cancer people who create wigs. That's a great cause. Giving money to your country to help a fellow student or your town, why not? Why can't you do both?

I think that you should give it to the people with cancer, because you never know but some little girl may get your hair and she will be caring a piece of you around with her forever. beside you will be helping somebody who really needs it out. that in its self should make you feel wonderful inside and that to me knowing that i helped some it greater then money no matter how much it is. so do what you want.
i would give it to the cancer group but that is just me.I hope you do the right thing.

first of all, if your hair is a beautiful as you say, and you like it like it is, then keep it, but if you want to donate part of it, then by all means do so, but why would you want to give away 1000 dollars of your money for a graduation gift, when you should be receiving graduation gifts, not giving them away

If it were me, I would give my hair to the cancer folks. You're graduating, and that's a big deal. Start your post-high school life by doing something good for others.

find 2 people and help them out with 500 each...or find 10 peole and help them by 100 each.... I find when i give gifts of money or such i like to do it in my own town...

I shop montly for local shut ins and use my money to buy them food.. during the hurricannes i passed out food and water with the Salvation Army.... Giving of yourself can be the greatest gift
