They are all pretty good tractors. Here's how I'd probably rank them:
1st: John Deere
2nd: Kubota
3rd: New Holland
Here's why:
John Deere and Kubota both have very dependable tractors. I think some of them even have the same engine. Kubota normally tends to take longer to get parts for and the parts are more expensive. John Deere will normally always have your parts there by at least the next day. John Deere has worked out a very good parts shipment program. New Holland is known more for hay equipment. They got into the tractor business after they took over Ford tractors. New Holland has a better reputation than Ford. Ford built pretty good tractors but after they got so old they did tend to have overheating and electrical problems. Whether some of Ford's problems have carried over is hard to say. We have a TR-70 New Holland combine that is 20 some years old or older with a Caterpillar engine in it and it still purrs as good as a brand new engine.
If you really want a tractor that will last a long time get a diesel tractor. Diesel engines require little maintenance and basically last forever. My family has a John Deere 1450 that we've have for 20 some years and we've basically had to do no repairs on it at all, just basic maintenance (oil changes, filter changes, etc).

John Deere
devilishblueeyes- Sperry was the department of New Holland that was known for haying.
now New Holland has pretty good Boomers but John Deere is still the best since they have the most experience in the industry.

Well I don't know about John Deere or New Holland, but we have had a Kubota for over 20 years and we love it, it has only required regular maintainence, change oil, new blades and filters etc. Before we moved to Tennesse we mowed approx. 8 acres with it and for the past three years we mow a little over three acres. It has been by far the best mower we have had.
