There's a ring on one end that you put aroung the cervix kind of like a diaphragm. Then there's a slightly larger ring on the other end which must be kept outside of the vagina throughout intercourse (to prevent any sperm from getting around it). In order to make sure it stays in place, one of you would probably need to hold it, which makes it a little awkward. I would suggest using a male condom because it has about 10% more protection against pregnancy and STD's. Hope that answered your question.

I don't think it will ever feel comfortable.

Also, I recommend the male wearing the condom.

Female condom may prevent pregnancy but it doesn't really prevent sexual diseases.

I follow the directions on the box. And from my personal experience i would not wear one again cuz it feels very uncomfortable. K
