Ahh, you see this touches on a personal theory of mine.
Everyone has instincts. Primal intuition, that feeling that happens just as you meet someone or just before a life changing event. Or even when somebody says something perfectly innocent but deep down you know they mean something more than what they are saying.
Now sometimes these instincts are wrong, but uncannyly enough they are correct more often then they are wrong. But what do to people tend to do when they get these gut instincts? They fob them off. Or analyze them, convince themselves that it wasn't true and finally come up with a totally different interpretation of the original feeling.
But there are other reasons for taking an instant dislike towards someone. Their manner or their baring might not agree with you. They may have said something in the short space of time that rubbed you the wrong way.
However, I do agree that some parts of human behavior are still governed by primal instinct and that there is no shame in that.
Cheers!!

It's a gut instinct. You make your decisions about a person in the first 15 seconds or something like that. Visceral responses are important in life. The trouble is, humans don't always listen to them...

yes, it has happened to me, i think its as you said the instinct, something that you feel when you see the person that makes u feel uncomfortable, maybe its that the person has such a bad energy or vibe, than u can feel it inmediatly. And i trust a lot on those "instincts", in the voice of my heart, they are always right. What you have to do is not to hate that person, but yes be aware.
GOD bless you!

some people just radiate negativity, you almost want to strangle 'em. Yes I'd say primal instinct definitely plays a key. It sure plays a key in liking.

You mean like some jock strap with his underwear showing and RayBan's on his head, holding a Corona with a lime in the neck and strutting around like he's got the barbell rod crammed up his butt?
Yeah, I've met that guy. Dontcha just want to shoot him in the eyes with a Luger?

Go with the gut! I know exactly what you mean. Listen to that little voice in your head that is throwing up red flags. You will be glad you did.
I have had it work the opposite too. Meeting someone for the first time and feeling an amazing affinity with them.

Probably instinct. I met a guy once that was nice and smart but gave me bad vibes - the second time I met him he wanted to convert me to be a born again christian.

Yes, I have and I tend to be right about my first impression of people if it is a dislike. It could be the way they talk, their personality or just a look in their eyes. What caused it -- I don't know what you call it, but I call it my intuition...

It could just be the way they were presented to you. Maybe in another place and time they would have seemed really nice. Just don't judge by the book, if you get to meet them then you will know if they really were or if it was really YOU just judging. That happened with me and my ex-best friend and she is still a cool person. Good luck :)!

Could be "instinctual"..Something about the way the person smells, sounds, acts could trigger a bad feeling..
Ever notice how a dog reacts to a person? If the dog is friendly chances are the person is okay. If the person is a jerk, the dog will try to attack them
