they have post traumatic stress disorder, and havent figured out how to handle it yet. this is just one way to feel like they have control over their sexuality and how they cope with the incident itself. They also probably dont feel any self-worth anymore so they dont see the point in having any self-respect for their bodies

Basically the rape makes them think that the only thing they are good for is Sex... the attacker has taken away all there self worth and driven them to feel worthless. In the time that woman was raped she is reduced to a thing... but she knows that that man wanted her so badly... so she begins to think that the only way she will EVER be wanted is to be that "thing".
It's very sad... We need to support these poor people and help them through their trauma... make it safe for them to come forward and get help. We need to teach people that Rape isn't about sex or desire it's about Control and power...

The simplest answer: In a way, they re-create the situation, but by having many partners - at their will - they are attempting, time and time again, to achieve "control" of a situation analogous to, but not the same as, their rape. This is simplistic; there is much, much more that lies at the root of the matter.
(To the idiot whose answer to the question was "Because they liked it": You've achieved the honor of advertising yourself as an idiot for all to see. Congratulations!)

Mainly its the person's mind trying to recover from the incident.
Rape in most cases isn't about the sex, it happens because of feeling of dominance. The feeling of power, and thrill at the fact that your victim in under your mercy.
Because of this, victim feels powerless, helpless and to overcome this feeling of being powerless, the victim will seek out other sexual intercourse and try to get in control.
Some people on the other hand rather likes the feeling of helplessness, so they crave it more.

I am sure that there is no one reason. But many feel that they are "damaged". Some are trying to get their "power" back.
Rape is not about sex, it's about power. Some crazy feels like they are powerless so they try and force their power onto someone. It makes them feel powerful.
Sex, at some level, is about power. You let down your guards and inhibitions to let some one exert their power over you. It's a VERY vulnerable position. During a rape that power that you normally lay down, is taken from you. Some people feel the need to get their power back by having sex on their terms. When they feel like it.

They repeat the destructive acts that are forced upon them...like lashing out.Molested children tend to grow up to be molesting adults. It can go both way's, either they get promiscuous or they become a shut in...depends on your coping skills and if you seek help for your traumatic experience.

I think it's a way of taking back control of your body and sexuality, and sometimes it's because you feel like you were ruined and that's all you can do.

Because they blame themselves for what happened to them. They think no one will love them because of it and they just go from one guy to the next. Never finding what they need.

It's an attempt to control every sexual situation... If they have sex first, it's more likely to be on their terms, rather than someone elses.
