LOVE

What did I give?

I gave my mother and sister up, I gave my youth up, I surrendered my heart, I gave up my way of life, and it was worth it.

There is a U2 song "Walk On" that says,

And love
Is not the easy thing
The only baggage
That you can bring
Is all that you can't leave behind

---------------------
True Love
This is a rare and wondrous thing and a cause for celebration when it happens. It is something that many mortals and fae alike spend their lives searching for and yet never find. True love is no easy thing to attain; in order for love to be true, the lovers must face some sort of adversity that tests the bonds of their love.

Being creatures of dreams and stories, fae love deeply and unreservedly. Either the affair is doomed to end in tragedy from the start, or the lovers will find some way to escape the tragedy and emerge victorious. In the end, the struggle is what makes the love strong. Indeed, a love that no longer has a strain of outside forces binding the lovers may soon wither and die. It takes a very deep commitment for lovers, who have struggled together for so long in the face of adversity, to keep their love strong once the struggle is over - such a love can certainly be called true love.

The love of my life? I'd like to know that she'll exist in the future in someone i'll meet or in the heart of someone i now know but i cant be sure. When love grows it should grow naturally and without pushing it. I wouldn't give anything for love because when we give of things we give of material unimportant objects in substitution for the intimacy, energy and respesct we so dearly protect in ourselves.
I dont know what i'd give to HAVE the love of my life but here's what i'd give THE love of my life;
respect
understanding
fidelity
compassion
empathy
cuddles
love-f*~king
romance
sacrifice
pride in me
support
effort
cooking
therapy
appreciation
white lies (of course you look beautiful-at 92 in our wee cottage 1st thing in the morning)
Adventure
Of course these are all just parts of the ingredients to a good relationship in my mind and the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. And remember a relationship works BOTH ways.
This all being said, what the hell do i know-i've been single 3 years so dont listen to a word of it! hehehe.

I gave up everything I had home possessions family and all to be with a man who doesn't love me so I guess I could do the same for the man who would love me.

I have the love of my life, and I'll sacrifice anything to keep him. I guess the the main thing I'd give is unconditional love.

9 months, the guy that wanted her to be aborted, pills that could hurt her, my job, contentment, in general, and abstinence from anything that would harm her.
