Why did God pick this particular galaxy and this solar system to put us in?
Why do you think God made the other planets next to us?
and do you think God wanted us to know about them since we relatively recently invented the telescope?

Consider this there are billions upon billions of stars in each galaxy we are just 1 galaxy and there are billions upon billions of galaxy's in the universe. So the question should start with the universe.

Neptune is a good choice. It's likely you'll be one of the few--I expect most people in your class will choose a terrestrial planet, or Jupiter or Saturn, instead. Megan, Pluto's status wasn't changed by NASA. It was the International Astronomical Union that made that decision. It wasn't a very popular decision, and it's certainly not a perfect solution, but they had good reasons for reclassifying it. Basically, there's no way of defining "planet" in a way that keeps Pluto but doesn't let in a whole lot of other bodies that we don't consider planets.

He picked a safe spot for us. Our Solar system is near the outer edge of our galaxy. We seem to be in a safe spot. As you probably know as you get closer to the center of our galaxy the star population increases and so does the violent nature of the stars. The planets next to us are for us also. We will terraform Mars one day and we certainly will do the same on Titan. We may even manage to colonize some moons of Jupiter.

In 1961 Frank Drake attempted to approximate the number of planets inhabited by intelligent life through the formulation of the Drake Equation. The equation is based upon an estimate of the number of planets in the galaxy that might harbor life, and furthermore, could harbor complex life. According to the equation, there could be a million complex civilizations in the Milky Way galaxy and probably billions of such civilizations throughout the universe.

The equation uses several variables which include: the number of stars in the Milky Way galaxy [N], times the fraction of stars with planets around them [fp], times the number of planets per star ecologically able to sustain life [ne], times the fraction of those planets where life actually evolves [fl], times those that evolve intelligent life [fi], times the number that communicate [fc], times the fraction of a planet's life during which the communication civilization survives [fL].

Beyond such estimates, there are attempts right now by astronomers and other scientists in the search for complex life. With the assumption that other intelligent life will use radios to communicate as we do, these scientists are studying radio transmissions and employing radio telescopes in exploring the universe for other intelligent life. In fact, NASA has even attached signs from our own civilization onto spacecraft exploring our solar system such as pictures of our own species and even a depictions of where our planet exists in case such satelites are ever intercepted.

I don't know why god choose this place and earth, but I glad he did , but it really are parent fought they hooked up made us and now whereon planet earth. God just spoke into the the land and there it was, the reason he made other planets so we can have somewhere else to visit, he new we would get bored and over populated if everyone was hear think about that.

This is a philiosphical/religious question. It does not belong in the scienice & mathematics section. What can be said, however, is that no matter where someone is, it's always natural to ask the same questions you are asking so it's somewhat pointless to suppose this planet would be special compared to any other hospitable planet.

You need to seriously stop posting these questions............first of all, how do you know HE picked this planet? What proof do you have that GOD exists? None whatsoever, in my opinion. And this whole Jesus hoax...........I have a book I think you should read.

So we could ask why and learn

there are other galaxies and planets and stuff, this just happens to be one of His creations. (look that up, its all probability stuff) The good book tells us that we are all part of one big family, so why would He be mad if we are looking out towards our brothers and sisters? Wouldnt that be his ultimate intention, to bring us back together, to have a big family reunion?
