You could not have picked a better place. I have been there many times and go back every chance I get. You are in for some beautiful sites. The Smoky Mountains is the only National Park in America that does not cost anything to get into. Suggetions on things to do, Clingman's dome at the highest point of the Smoky Mountains, free. Rypley's Aquarium in Gatlinburg. Ober Gatlinburg. Whitewater rafting, a must. At night time take a stroll through Gatlinburg. Pigeon Forge and Sevierville have lot's of shopping, minature golf, go-cart tracks. Gatlinburg has lot's of museums, rypley's, Guinness, and such. On the North Carolina side is the town of Cherokee, which is also the Eastern band Cherokee Reservation. About 40 miles down the road is Biltmore Estates, largest mansion in America, very expensive. Chances are there will be more things to do then you will have time to do. A few final tips, have fun and keep your eyes out for bears, they unfortunatly are not spotted by tourist like they used to be. Also when going to Gatlinburg, as you come into town you will be on the main road if you turn right off the main road and go one block there is free parking on the side of the road if you can find a parking spot, park your car there and walk to anything in Gatlinburg, everything is in walking distance. Last note on the main road in Gatlinburg, even without crossing lights pedestrians have the right-of-way. Have fun on your trip, you will not want to leave and will want to go back.

The Smoky Mountains have arts & crafts, hiking, biking, tubing, horseback riding, live music, and two annual festivals. Whichever season you choose, there's always a good adventure to be found. After a day of fun, find a great place to eat followed by a stay in a cabin, hotel, bed & breakfast, or at a campsite.
If u like doing alot of outdoor activities, this place is for ya'll.

Hi, I went there in March, it was a great get away. I strongly suggest that you go to the Comedy Barn and the Dixie Stampede, those were the 2 shows that was very good and entertaining, and I'm not into shows but they were awesome. Pigeon Forge was very cool, Gatlinburg was very compact and congested. The Hampton is a very nice motel in Pigeon Forge, we stayed at 4 different motels and In Gatlinburg Roder's was a cool hotel room overlooking the creek. These are the things that stick out in my mind. 4 of us stayed 4 nights and we spent around $1000.00 staying, sleeping, eating, buying, shows, and everthing else that we did. Have Fun!! I'm sure u will.
