There are MANY factors in answering this question. Now I am a die hard Sox fan but also realistic and somewhat knowledgeble about the game. So if you are willing to read the rest and this is actually a genuine guestion here goes -
1. Better Manager. Dont groan I have lived through many terrible men for Sox and alot of times they get canned and dont deserve it cuz they dont have the talent but Baker does and doesn't know how to use it. (with or without the current injuries they have)
2. So far (and please GOD I hope I am not cursing the Sox) no major injuries for multiple key players at the same time.
3. Better "player attitude" "manager/player respect" "player respect for teammates" and the slogan in clubhouse "we all win or we all lose - as a team"
3. Jerry and Kenny had enough brains to hire Ozzie AND give him the free reign or at least listen to his ideas to "trade" "scout" "draft" (and of course not all by himself) the players who would play his kind of ball and like it. And also kept the players who were already there and willing to adapt or at least give it a try to his game style.
4. Ozzie has the attitude that EVERY game counts! but also don't think about yesterday cuz today is a new game. (and that applies if they won or lost the day before) I recall a news brief in early May when Dusty stated "Its early in the season" or something to that effect and the same day Ozzie saying "We should have won this game because they ALL matter wether its May or Sept.
5. We just have more outright talent. Thome,Konerko&Dye right now are the BEST 3,4,5 hitters in all MLB. Crede BETTER get a gold glove this year for his OUTSTANDING plays day after day after day on third. And in general there really isn't a weak spot on the team.

The White Sox have a better manager, better players, no serious injuries in their pitching staff, and they don't have the losing culture in the clubhouse right now. I saw them play in Cinci. last week, and they are clearly a team that plays with aggression and confidence. The cubs do neither, and Dusty Baker must go away.

White Sox got Crede, Pysinski, and Dye. White Sox wontwice as many games as the cubs.lol.

because the cubs are cursed and their manager is a moron, and because the clubs in the national leauge don't need DH's like the girls in the american leauge do
