13+(-12)-(-5) = 1 + 5 = 6
Guess you have 13$ in the hand
You have a debt of 12$
So actually you have only 1$.
Now someone else owes you 5$ and he removes his debt,
so you receive 5$.
In the end you posses 6$.

The Problem: 13+(-12)-(-5)= ?

Okay, the first thing you should do is to get rid of the parenthesis. Before each parenthesis, you can put an invisible one:

13+1(-12)-1(-5) = ?

Because of the rule of orders of operations, you must multiply before you add, right? So, multiply positive one times negative twelve. Then replace your answer back into the problem.

13+1(-12)-1(-5) = ?
+1 x -12 = -12
13 - 12 - 1(-5) = ?

Do the exact same thing for the multiplication problem with the negative 1 and the negative 5. A negative number times a negative number will have an answer that is positive. Then replace your answer back into the problem.

13 - 12 - 1(-5) = ?
-1 x -5 = +5
13 - 12 + 5 = ?

Now, it should be easy, right?

13 - 12 + 5 = 6!

1+5=6

see adding a negative is the same as just subtracting it and subtracting a negative is the same as adding a positive and then you read left to right doing the math

13-12=1
1+5=6

the answer is 6

check ya later ♥

13 + (-12) - (-5)

is the same as

13 - 12 + 5

I think you can get the rest.
