Agreed about calling DirecTV - give them the Brand and Model number, and ask them if it'll work.

Also, *IMPORTANT* - note that in 2007 DirecTV will end it's relationship with Tivo, so any DirecTV/Tivo set top boxes will no longer be supported. That doesn't necessarily mean that your DirecTV Tivo won't work, but if there's any problems, you're on your own.

I personally love the combo, because Tivo's interface rocks, but if you own one, you will be on your own next year (as will I).

how many recievers you have because if you have 4 or 3 you will have to have a triple lnb dish installed.and yes if you buy one brand new from a 100% feedback seller and activate it with a fresh access card go right ahead.but don't get the R 11s they blow.Directv blows in being on there own Get a tivo while supplies last or even a hughes or rca

no. In order for your service to work, you need an access card. The access card is programmed to work with a certain model and account of a user.

Call directv. I believe that you can just use your existing card and swap, but I would verify before you buy. I've heard weird problems sometimes in trying this.

Should work as long as you subscribe and have a valid card to obtain the signal once hooked up

it all depends on what sort of tv and cable capabilities you have if it will work on your television set.
