You likely used the wrong type of fuse and caused a "downstream" fault or surge in the fusebox. Short answer, find the horn fuse and pull it. Long term, find out what amperage the fuse for the lights is supposed to have and make sure it is correct. Of course, a 93 escort is not a shining example of automotive engineering and it could have more issues than Madonna's kids.

Oh, and don't forget, that generation of escort had a LOT of mazda parts. Maybe try something spec'd for a 323 or protege.

what happens when you take the fuse out of the tail lights sounds like youve got a short in the system get to the dealer there might be a bulletin about that leave the fuse out until you get there and use the reliable hand signals this could also be a problem with the stop light switch if it is in some way in the same wiring of the horn relay dont know for sure

Such symbols are irrelevant. in reality- that person would purely be a "Christian" out of social decision. as against actual having a relationship with Jesus the Christ. In yet another easy- the bumper sticky label would have been meant non actually. Assuming that folk each so often honk in site visitors- the sticky label would advise to "spin" issues as though actually everyone who honked enjoyed Jesus. (while it won't be real for a brilliant style of drivers.)

Sounds like you have a short.Your lights are more important as a safety issue,so you could diconect one wire from your horn to stop that, and at least you can still drive the car until you can afford to get it checked out.

well, look to see if the button on the steering wheel can be removed, cause quite possibly the metal connectors might be sticking together.
