I just recently heard that the members of the rock band 'Queen' were gay. If someone knows if they were or not, please let me know. Also, please provide a link that would provide an answer.

www.queenonline.com - here is a website its the official one for queen. or so it said. i didn't get my info there though. i know that frontman freddie mercury was openly gay he died of aids in 1991. as far as i know the other members of queen are straight and married with kids. my info comes from watching a documentery about them. and they made a movie about freddie mercury back in the 90's for tv. and i am a huge fan of queen and own the 3 cd anthology collection which also has a bit of history in the liner notes. and i read all the articles that have been written about them over the years. hope this helps! Rock on queen with their new frontman. they are still going and great as on the vh1 rock honors which also gave a band history on behind the music!

Freddy Mercury became very sick and reclusive in his last year(s). Back in the late 80's/early 90's it was a death sentence and plague on the gay community. He denied the rumors he had publicly until right before he died. Ironically, around that same time Magic Johnson made national news as the first high profile "straight" star to come down with HIV. He's not only lived incredibly well since then (even making a return run in the NBA), his broadcasting, real estate, and other ventures have done incredibly well. God bless modern medicine!

I've seen several interviews from the band about this subject.
The rest of the band was apalled when they realized that Freddy Mercury was gay. The way they found out was Mercury basically was doing what most rock superstars did in that era with "teenie boppers" - picking up partners on the tour. Unfortunately, he wasn't very discrimintae with the many male partners he took and it led to his death with AIDS.
To this day it's created very painful memories for his exbandmates who all claim to be heterosexual.

All the above, besides being virtuosos. There performance always goes beyeond belief.
Indeed, the recording engineers, take part of the credit. But, but, but, the vocal chords and solo marked an epoch.
Let alone , the singular voice of Freddy Mercury. Apparently thin, but incredibly accurate!

No only Freddie Mercury was gay. Though this has never been stated, but you better can say he is bi sexual.
Freddie Mercury has loads of boyfriends throughout the years. He called Jim Hutton his husband, Jim Hutton lived with home the last 10 years of his live.
Well why was he bi then?? Well he has had an relationship with Mary Austin for a few years. And after their relationship she never really left his side, they practically lived a few houses from each other, and Mary Austin was almost everyday at Freddies house.

No, not all the members of Queen are gay. The late Freddie Mercury, their singer, was the only gay member.
