Try ebay - be sure the seller gives you an IMEI # & SIM # on the card & call Nextel to make sure the phone is clear & not stolen. It's a great way to get a bargain on an expensive phone w/o having to commit to a 2-yr contract.
Also, if the phone you purchase on ebay (for example) doesn't have a SIM card then you can always buy one elsewhere.

Go on Yahoo groups and look for your local freecycle group. Post something you want to give away, and then post that you are looking for a nextel phone. I have given away many an item and recieved items. I gave a way 3 old cell phones on there as well.

to contuniue with her answer, if it is unlocked you can buy a boost mobile phone or a nextel. unlocked phones usually dont come with a sim card so just use yours!
