I Would say it depends on exactly where you live in the state. In Western New York, to heat up a duplex home of about 1500 sq ft, it costs about $350.00 per floor. So for the entire house it would be a whooping $700.00!! And I'm not kidding. So you do the math for how much it would cost for a 2132 sq ft home.

Then again, a lot of the houses in Western New York are over 80 years old and therefore, very poorly energy/heat efficient. If it is a new home you are talking about, the price may be considerably less if you consider factors like brand new windows (leakproof), insulated walls, insulated attic, etc.

I know some people who have renovated the house and only pay $350.00 for the entire house about the size of the one you are asking for....So, there....that may be the answer to your question.

About $350.00 - $400.00.

I'm assuming you mean a gas furnace--a gas heater is only good for a room, and not very good at that.

Cost will depend on how efficient the furnace, and how warm you keep the house. Other factors: quality of insulation, height of ceilings, age of house (older houses are draftier), type and size/number of windows, traffic in and out, and probably others I can't think of right now.

Your local gas company can probably help you out.

you can ask the gas company for a history of gas useage of that house and the costs.
