My wife and I would like to build a web site. We don't have any experience. Is there someone out there who could give me some advice on how to do this?

First, you need to find a place to create your website. Try GeoCites! http://geocities.yahoo.com/ It's a great place to start; it's free and it can even give you some step-by-step tutorials some easy templates and to work off of to make your webpage look great without too much effort.

Once you get the hang of the template and the little basics, I recommend learning HTML, which allows you to create and format your webpage and have more control and choices than a template. There are some great tutorials at http://www.w3schools.com. When you get there, try clicking on the tutorials regarding HTML. There, you can learn a bunch of stuff! I also recommend http://www.lissaexplains.com. It's a bit colorful, but it is a good guide for beginners and tells you everything you need to know in a clear, fun way.
