How many seasons are out so far? And is it true they are going to end it at season 12 because it made fun of religion!?!? :(

They are currently airing season 10, which started in March 2006, with the death of Chef.

Currently, they have released the first 7 seasons on DVD. Season 8 comes out in August.

ya there is 10 i saw an interview saying they would do it for 3 more years so thats to season 12 maybe they will make more after that i dont know but i think they need to take more time making the story to the episodes because some of season 10 episodes are just $#!T the story is no good and its not funny. and what i find bad is they dont say bad words anymore in the early episodes they did it all the time thats why i liked it but thats gone now

You can buy seasons 1 - 8 , I believe! Don't think you can buy season 9 yet, at least Comedy Central isn't selling it! I own 1 - 4! love south park!

there are 7 seasons out on DVD and Im not sure where they are as far as new episodes being shown on TV; as far as them making fun of religion, um, they have always done that; they have made fun of everything

dude, yeah they are...its one of the most racist religion cartoons or shows for that matter on tv...i think there are nine out on dvd, i dont know how many there are all in all...but it is possible that they will end at season 12

that show is getting old if you ask me ... it was funny for the first 2 years but after a while, it didnt seem that funny anymore
