Primarilly;
1. The use of false dillemmas. They make us think in terms of black and white, and that we must choose either one or the other of the two choices they have given us. For instance, the Gay marriage noise. They just use this issue to keep people self righteous and republican. The whole issue is a false dillema;
theres no problem here to even be solved.
Or, the Republican/Democrat false dillema.
2. Diabolization of truth and truthtellers, marginalization of truth and truth tellers
3. Republicans own and operate almost all of the public media
outlets. So they can lie and lie and lie and theres hardly anybody to stand up with a voice for truth or reason.

No matter what political reasons are given for war, the underlying reason is always ECONOMIC. " - A.J. Taylor, British Historian
Generation after generation we have witnessed these events unfold and be mistold through the various, yet ever more consolidated, corporate factions of the world's print and televised media. There are hundreds of publications on the internet and in actual bookstores
that already prove the People have constantly been lied to over and over throughout history to the fearlessly observant who believe in absolute and not relative truths (deception, disinformation, lies, and propaganda).
Everything most people have ever been taught about America has at least been based on a partial lie controlled by the press - going back to the country's beginning. It is bizarre to read this for the first time, but true. It portrays the truth of the hierarchy of the powers-that-currently-be on this planet, although still it continues to be grossly ignored in this current generation.
D. Rockefeller thanking his colaborators
We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost
forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past
centuries. " - David Rockefeller, Baden-Baden, Germany 1991

It depends on who is their audience. They are all liars and will say what they think people want to hear. And ideas differ from place to place.
Anyone who wants to be a politician has to have delusions of grandeur and be psychotic to want to take on such a visible responsibilty. Serious need for power.
