I just happen to love the Pistons and I know that they can play much better than they did. I think it was rigged.

The Finals were not intentionally rigged but it's true that the Heat do get every call. Officials go out of their way to give Dwayne Wade a whistle every single time he drives. If it wasn't for this fact, the Pistons would have beaten the Heat, as would the Mavs.
Of course, the Pistons could have overcome the Heat and won despite the poor officiating, if they had hit open jump shots. They didn't.
Officiating is terrible, officiating gives the Heat games, but there was no specific overriding conspiracy to keep the Pistons out.

I agree with you the finals were rigged. And it is quite possible the series against the Pistons was rigged too. But at least if the Pistons would have won the Championship would have been won by Dallas!

Believe it or not I love the Pistons also but I do not believe the finals were rigged (Even though there were some terrible calls that always seemed to go Miami's way). I think the Pistons might have gotten a little too cocky or they might have worn themselves out working for the homecourt advantage. Not once in the entire playoffs did they play their best.

Just because someone can play alot better then they did doesn't mean that they rigged the finals. Miami were playing so well throughout the playoffs and Wade dominated in defence. There's no way that they rigged them and Miami beat the Pistons fair and square.

fer cryin' out loud, of course the finals weren't rigged...and neither was the Pistons / Heat series...

Don't go thru the rest of your life thinking every time your team gets knocked out of the playoffs, it was the result of the series being fixed.

If you think your Pistons are the first team in NBA history not to play as well in the playoffs as they did in the regular season, then you haven't been watching basketball very long.

If you want someone to blame for the Pistons losing to the Heat, say hello to Ben Wallace... he got his a$$ kicked by Shaq as few other 2nd-team all-NBA centers have EVER got their a$$e$ kicked in a playoff series... Wallace was nowhere to be found.

As for the finals, were the Mavs under orders from David Stern to shoot 37% from the floor in game 6? I guess they must have been! Did Stern order them to shoot 5 for 22 from 3 pt land, on their home floor?

If you're so convinced that the NBA playoffs are rigged, then don't bother watching them.

But let's dispense with these conspiracy theories once and for all!

I really thought the Pistons were playing really well. They would never lose to a team like the Heat. I guess because Wade helped them win. Also the Pistons had a great advantage because they got good players and they won many titles.

It wasn't rigged...the Pistons had a total offensive mind set and didn't play like the old Pistons with Larry Brown where Defense was their first priority. No offense, but their offense is horrible. They iso way too much which leads to simply everyone watching and when they do kick out, it's really unpredictable and leads them into bad situations. I mean, credit goes to Miami D, but overall, they simply iso'd too much

How can the Pistons play against the Heat? THEY ARE BOTH IN THE EASTERN CONFERENCE. Get a brain, then think about it. How could the Finals be set up anyway? It was unpredictable (except for game 6).

The Finals weren't rigged! Dallas started celebrating too early and the Heat just turned it up. The Pistons just didn't play well in the postseason. Sheed got hurt and had a big mouth against Cleveland. Yup, they got too cocky.

There was no rigging, the best team certainly won.
