Death penalty? Yes or no?

NO- because innocent people have been put to death. It's better that a guilty man go free , than to have an innocent man convicted.

Absolutely. But get it over with fast. The practice of parking inmates on death row for 20 years is ridiculous.

In fairness to the victim, the death penalty should be carried out by relatives of the victim who are free to use any method or methods they want, provided the prisoner is dispatched within one hour's time.

The prisoner should be advised of the intended methods of execution by the relatives one week prior to the actual event. Once the execution starts, the relatives have free reign to do anything to the prisoner, and if he survives the first attempt at the end of one hour, there would be a rematch one month later.

The idea of a humane execution should be tossed out of the window. The victim was never given that consideration.

No. It can't be undone once it's done and too many mistakes are made. There are other ways of preventing a murderer from killing again. Life without possibility of parole could be made sufficiently unpleasant to satisy any grieving family's desire for revenge.

No. It makes us responsible (you and me) if we kill an innocent person.
