breast cancer surgery is sorta an "emergency" under most state law, as far as I know. That is, do surgery first, get your car/house taken later to pay for it.

The surgeons, should have to accept your case wherever the "clip" was placed. I would certainly start by calling whoever did the ductogram/clip placement. There are certain rules, that doctors are generally afraid of, that should motivate that person to find you a surgeon.

At the hospital where this happened, there is likely a patient representative. They can be pursuasive, and almost cannot hurt.

Worst case? Consider cold calling the University of wherever you are. Call directly to the "breast center", or dept of surgery. With clips in place, there is a small window to perform surgery, University surgeons are usually "good" people, and can push much of the work off on residents, and have financial backing from the state, usually.

Medical Treatment and surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges all types of medical treatment and surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.

I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as obesity surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

My cousin got her obesity surgery after delivery in India through the forerunners healthcare .She is more than very happy with the results. She has lost 65lbs in 5 months. She just paid 25% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company.hope this helps

Wow, that is horrible. I would see if you can get charity care. Right now that is your best bet. Check the web to see if there is a breast cancer charity that can help you out. Best of luck!!! I hope she gets well.

I'm so sorry to hear about your problems, but it's wonderful that you care so much about her...I wish I had a million dollars I could give.
