****a is not a respectful way to address a person,nor was it meant to be.It's like callin'a Caucasian "Cracker,or Honkey,or callin Asian people Chinks,or calling Latins- Spics,or calling Indians Squaws.It's an epithet,meant to call down,derogative.You don't say to someone you like Hey Honkey,Spi*,Chink,How you doin".Those terms aren't regular greetings/salutations.

For the obvious reason, it's rude and cruel. Now on the other hand it appears to be acceptable for them (African Americans) to use the term in a condescending way or joking to one another? Go figure.
