Do you see the air? Nope. Do you see the effect air causes? Yup. Keep an open mind and maybe one day you'll see something affected by God. I have never witnessed a miracle either, but really, you might as well trust God versus not trust him, cause in the end, it's heaven or hell. I'd stick with God. It's like ... winning.

The superstitious/magic element of religion is based on what religious people call 'faith'. This means believing something even when there is no evidence for it - and often in the face of overwhelming evidnce against. By a curious warped logic, believing something to be true despite all the evidence against it is regarded as a 'leap of faith' - and a positive thing for which you gain a certain moral credit. Religion therefore subverts the rules of all normal discourse to make a virtue of its own irrationality.
Of course this only applies to certain kinds of belief. If you believe that the moon is made of green cheese or that there are fairies at the bottom of your garden, we would normally expect you to be marginalised as 'eccentric' in a 21st century society. However, questioning similarly implausible beliefs about bodily ascension into heaven, virgin birth and miracles (and so on) is often - especially in parts of contemporary America - regarded as socially unacceptable.
There is as much mumbo-jumbo around today as there ever has been. If anything it is more insidious becasue it is too often not noticed.

Maybe the reason you can't see God is because you don't know what to look for. People take time to point out the bad things but not the good. When I see God I don't see a person...I see the things that he's done for me and others and I can feel him. Just because you can't see something doesn't mean it doesn't exist. But after you believe in God you have to ask him into you heart and if you haven't or don't know how there's the ABC's of Salvation. A - admit that your a sinner. B- believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins. C - confess your sins. and ask God to come into your heart. When you do and you truly believe it you can feel his presence. It's the most amazing love you'll ever feel.
Christianity is a relationship with God. He made you and he loves you and everyone else on this earth.

you don't.
It is faith. No "pure" religion can really prove that their god exists, even if that god is based on a real person.
I don't believe in god, but if you do then you can't over think it. If it is your faith, then have faith. "god" will not come down to you and say "hey dude, I'm god. what's up?"
that's not what it is all about. Alot of people these days say prove it. the only way they will believe in something is if they see it with their own eyes.
But having something spiritual goes far beyond the physical. it is a very personal thing. If you want to believe in it then do that. If not then don't.
faith (in whatever you believe) should not be over analyzed. It loses it's meaning when it is.

Read the Bible... go to church. Do some research girl! I'm sick and tired of all these people saying where is god, where is the proof? You have obviously done no research what-so-ever! God preforms miracles everyday... just because its not on the front page of the daily telegraph doesn't mean it's not happening. Look up Billy Graham, and Creation Science. God reveals himself to those who look for the truth and for him.

God is a spirit not a person we can see in the flesh..Jesus is God in the flesh. Do you need proof? Look around.A new born baby..the complexity of the human eye..we don't work for miracles or I would do overtime..Get a Bible and READ....then find the prophecies that have already came true.

Can we even be sure that we are really awake right now? Maybe this is all a very complicated dream, maybe we don't even exist ,but are all part of the imagination of some larger being. You have to just believe some things because not everything can be explained and if we went around trying to explain and prove everything all the time we wouldn't get anything done. The idea of "God" is all relative to culture and personal outlook. Everyone's idea of "God" is different and therefore can never truly be proven. Some people may believe the guy sitting next to them on a plane is God and who are we to tell them any different? In reality nobody really "knows". They can only have faith that there is some sort of higher being or spirit. I think the main problem people have is accepting God as he is in Christian interpretation. If you think of God as a more abstract idea than as an actual person things may make more sense. Religion in itself is kind of an intangible idea ,but we know it exists becuase it is practiced all around us and is thus proven. I for one believe its crazy for anyone to even start to think they know anything about what might be beyond our world and who's controlling everything. Its anyone's guess and people tend not to decide by logic ,but rather by the way they were raised or the culture around them. If you study most religions, you'll find that most all of them have the same root messages and have the same ideas about what is God ,but some things are lost in translation and get confused. Another thing is that Christians call upon God as if its the only divine source. For example: Buddha is the Buddhist embodiment of God and therefore they believe in "God". Our main concern with these non-Christian religions is they're focus on polytheism(belief in many gods). With Christianity God is a single being with an unknown name or we substitute naming as we name our god "God"(another form of Christian self-rightousness). In many ways God is a simple way of explaining the unexplainable. We do not know where the universe came from and how it came to be, we do not know how life came to be on this planet or anywhere else for that matter, but the idea of "God" helps us deal with not knowing and it offers a quick sense of purpose and reason. In short, it explains that our purpose is to live for and by God.This ,however, only makes things much more complicated as people such as yourself question what was in purpose to explain your doubts.I believe there is some sort of higher being or creator, if you must call him/her God so be it.

Only some know if 'god is real' because they feel he has directly affected them in some way shape or fashion that is inexplicable otherwise.
You can't know, that's why it's called 'faith'. You believe that he is real. Some people believe so firmly that they 'know' he is real.
In catholisism at least, there's this creed read off at every mass. Now this was made by 'true believers' yet nowhere in the entire creed is it mentioned 'i know that there is God the father' it is always 'I believe in God the father'.

The existence of God cannot be proven, but the Law of Probability makes it more likely than not, because mankind, as a whole, has always believed in a God (or Gods). Faith is the ability to believe in things we cannot see/hear/touch. Good luck in you quest !

Why, oh why, do you and others keep worrying about proof of God, proof that God doesn't exist, etc. This is nonsense, there is no logical proof of any deity, ever, except in paganism, where rocks, statues, etc. are real and touchable. In matters of FAITH, by its very name, there is no proof. Why should there be? Either arguement is silly at best.....God is OR God isn't.
