err Yep...Im married to a German aswell.
So I took her and my Dutch/German nieghbours to watch England in Köln the other day. (on the bigscreen not in the stadium...im not rich!).
The atmosphere in the centre of Köln was brilliant (pity the last goal had to fall).
I really really wanted England to meet Germany in R2...but will be quite happy if Sweden knock them out :)

My wife is English, so am I.
She supports Brazil for the footie, Italy for F1, Henman for tennis (OK, but go figure), Aussies for cricket, etc,etc...
It's almost endless.
I've heard of supporting the underdog, but doesn't that mean she should be happy as an England supporter?
I don't have the guts to discus immigration.

Dont panic mate. Its not so bad, Im sure she is more understanding than our uncultured binge drinking ladies.
Besides it could have been far worse, she could be an Argentinian. Then she really would have been gloating at you.
Seriously tho, it aint so bad, Im dating one of the lasses at our place and she is half german, but is following england and germany as her main teams and italy as a backup cos she thinks Totti is lovely. I prefer Totti's wife but not not to worry.
Im still backing the swedes to K/O them on saturday tho. Lets hope we dont suffer to mighty Ecuador.lol

My wife supports England and I support England. Unfortunately when we watch them play we are both watching and supporting a different team!

My brazilian wife supports the biggest enemies of the US team, Mexico and Costa Rica because they are also latinos. Maybe if I start rooting for Argentina (I definitely will be rooting for them when they play Mexico) she'll understand.

Haha, I have a friend who's Argentine but married to an American. She's just praying their two teams never meet; as long as they don't, she can support his team (LOL, like that'll help them any) and he can support hers.
