OK...here is my deep dark secret.......I have used the "pull out method SUCCESSFULLY for eight years. No pregnancies. Yes...I am fertile. My youngest child is 9. My hub is obviously really good at timing the "pull out." Crap...I hesitate sending this. I would hate it if some young girl gave it a whirl and got pregnant. Don't try this UNLESS...it wouldn't be the end of the world if you got pregnant. My husband and I discussed it and it is the best thing for us. Due to the fact that I turn into a crazy woman on the pill and we both totally hate condoms. I realize that there are many other methods of bc. But...it has worked for us.

Well the chance of getting pregnant in any given month without the use of birth control is about 20%. Birth Control pills offer almost 0% chance of getting pregnant and condoms about a 2% chance...the sponge about 10%....soooooo....I would say that the withdrawl method of birth control...which isnt really a tested method would have to be close to the 20% risk of no method at all...the preejaculate contains sperm too and all you really need is one good swimmer and BAM you're pregnant.....

I took Human Sexuality at a local university and we were taught that the pull out method of contraception is only 55% effective. that's still almost a one in two possibility of becoming pregnant, i wouldn't risk it. a lot of people combine the pull out method with other forms of contraception such as birth control pill or condoms.

Actually, men have pre-ejaculation that happens a few minutes before they ejaculate...and it has more sperm in it than actual ejaculation....so yes, it's possible.
