There are many models of "Seth Thomas" clocks and many types of movements. Without more information, it is impossible to provide advice.

A Yahoo search for "seth thomas clocks" (include the quotation marks) yields 138,000 results. I am sure that if you do the same search, and are willing to do a little exploring, you will quickly find the information you seek.

Good luck with your search for information.

Yah, its "works" are a little off and needs to go to the clock shop. I guess you could try taking the hand off and moving it up. I don't know. Every time I've messed with my old school clock I only made it worse.

No, I don`t but I think it`s great that some do still hold up the traditions. Well done you. I normally do my cleaning when I take the tree down on Epiphany or just before. Happy 2008 to all.

Ok..You need to remove the works from the case..Go to a hardware store and get a small can of compressed air and a small can of 3 in 1 oil.. You need to blow all the dirt and dust from the gearsand around the spring area... Then oil all the shafts around the gears... Put it all back together, And it should work....
